Snowshoe West Virginia is one of the most popular skiiing resorts
East of the Rocky Mountains. Click
Greenbank WV has the largest movable ground telescope in the
world, and it is so sensitive that it can pick up the firing of a
spark plug in a car engine from a mile away. Anyone nearby wishing to put in
a satellite dish or any other radio technology that might disrupt the
telescope, must get special permission.
Greenbank is within about 15 miles of Snowshoe. Both
Snowshoe and Greenbank lie in the Pokahontus county WV, which has
thousdands of square miles of area, but only 9,000 residents -- too few
for even fast food restaurants and chain shopping centers.

I recently traveled to India (Sept. 2010, Chennai). Here are a
