Web page of Guillermo H. Goldsztein

Welcome to my webpage. I am Professor in the School of Mathematics of Georgia Tech. I am an applied mathematician interested in using and developing mathematics to study problems of scientific or technological interest. Lately, I have been working on the mathematical modeling of heterogeneous materials which includes porous media, composites and polycrystals. The general goal in this area of research is to study the effect of microgeometry on the macroscopic properties of the materials.

Brief biography:

I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1992 I received my undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Buenos Aires and in 1997 my PhD in applied mathematics from MIT. During the three following years (1997-2000), I was a postdoctoral scholar and lecturer in applied mathematics at CalTech. Since 2000, I am a faculty member of the School of Mathematics of Georgia Tech.
