Course Description
This class is continuation of Calculus I. The main topics, in the order that they are covered are:
• Introduction to exponential, logarithmic, and inverse trigonometric functions.
• Techniques of integration, including various substitutions, integration by parts, and partial fractions.
• Indeterminate limits, L'Hopital's rule and improper integrals.
• Infinite sequences and series, power series, and Taylor's approximation of functions.
The main goals of the class are: (i) building proficiency in working with elementary functions, including their derivatives and integrals, and (ii) developing a deeper appreciation for the concepts of limit and convergence.

Prerequisites
A grade of C or better in Math 141--familiarity with limits, derivatives, integrals, the fundamental theorem of calculus, and basic trigonometry.

Textbook
Calculus, by Varberg, Purcell, and Rigdon, eighth edition.

Homework and Quizzes
There will be homework assignments due every Wednesday. Late homeworks will not be accepted. Also there will be quizzes every Wednesday. No calculators, textbooks, or notes will be allowed.
