Homework 1 due on Tuesday, August 28th: for Section 1.1, 1.2 on pages 11 - 14, #1, 4, 9, 19, 20, 30, 31. For Section 1.3 on pages 24 - 27, #3, 4, 5, 8, 11, 17, 20, 21. Please write up and hand in your own solutions for the even numbered problems. For full credit, be sure to explain how your arrived at the answer.

Homework 3 will not be collected. For Section 5.5 on pages 277-278, solve #1,3,7,9.

Midterm 1 will be on Tuesday, September 12th. It will cover Sections 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 4.1, and 5.5.

There will be extra office hours on Monday, Sept. 11th from 4 - 6PM.

Homework 6 will not be collected. For Section 9.1 on pages 417-418, solve #1,3,5. For Section 9.2 on pages 431 - 432, solve #1,2,5,9,11.

Midterm 2 will be on Tuesday, October 10th. It will cover Sections 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 8.5, 9.1, and 9.2.

There will be extra office hours on Monday, Oct. 9th from 2-3PM in addition to the regular office hours from 4-5PM.

For extra credit on Midterm 2, due on Tuesday, Oct. 24th: Explain what's wrong with any incorrect solution. Then give at least one (preferably two) different ways of solving the problem correctly. You may talk to each other or me, consult books, etc., BUT all work must be clearly and obviously your own. Turn exam back in with extra credit.

Homework 7 due on Tuesday, October 31st: for Section 10.1 on page 455, #1, 3, 4, 5. For Section 10.2 on pages 468 - 470, #1, 3, 11, 12, 16, 31, 32. Please write up and hand in your own solutions for the even numbered problems. For full credit, be sure to explain how your arrived at the answer.

Midterm 3 will be on Thursday, November 16th. It will cover Sections 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 11.1, 11.2, 11.3 and the definition of Hamiltonian cycle / path from 10.5.

There will be extra office hours on Wednesday, Nov. 15th from 1 - 3PM.
