Course Description

This class is an introduction to basic concepts of linear algebra: matrices and determinants, vector spaces and linear transformations, eigenvalues, diagonalization, and various applications.

Prerequisites

Math 15X2

Textbooks

Linear Algebra and its Applications, by David Lay (Fourth Edition), Pearson 2012.

Attendance Policy

Students are required to attend all lectures.

Grading

The grade is based on homework (15%); one midterms (30%) on Wednesday Jun 20; and a final exam (55%) on Monday, Aug 1, 8:00-10:50am.
