If you are not a student in Georgia Tech's School of Mathematics, and you wish to make more than casual use of these notes, such as downloading files or using them as study materials, please send $10.00 to and respect the same restrictions as for Georgia Tech students. (Alternatively, you may pay in Euros, at the rate of 11.00 EUR or 70 FRF . Please do not use local Euro currencies other than French Francs.) This will give you a two-year subscription to this text (access control may be implemented some time in 2000). If you include two formatted high-density disks, you will receive a MS Word and Mathematica files paralleling the Web text. Both Macintosh and PC formats are available.

Software currently being used to produce these files includes Microsoft Word 5.1a, Expressionist, GraphicConverter 2.2.2 (US), Mathematica 2.2.2, Maple V, rtftohtml-mac, and math2html.
